Schools cycling - what a year!

richard-the-cycle-coachThe Schools Sports Partnership has worked closely with Cycle Shrewsbury to develop cycling in all Shrewsbury schools. Richard Stephens our cycle coach has had a varied and exciting job since he started working for us at Easter. He has delivered cycling to all key stages, from teaching infants to ride without stabilisers, to challenging secondary pupils to ride up the banks at Meole Brace school.

As a celebration of our fantastic year, the Partnership ran a Bikefest for primary and Severndale pupils and a cyclo-cross at Meole Brace for the secondary pupils.
