I witnessed 130 children bringing their bikes to Radbrook Primary School for their bike day on Friday 1st May. There were a number of activities taking place to celebrate cycling at the school.
Year 5 pupils were on the second day of their Bikeability cycle training course and they all successfully achieved level 1.
The police were there to security mark all the bikes that had been brought to school and some parents took advantage of the offer and had theirs marked too.
Dr. Bike was there to give quick checks to bikes and did have to repair one puncture.
The Cycle Shrewsbury smoothie bike was there and the children pedalled to create their own delicious drinks. I’d like to thank Radbrook Green Co-op for kindly supplying fruit, yoghurt and juice for making the smoothies.
The school really encourages pupils to cycle to school and has secure cycle parking for plenty of bikes.
